The Trap Of Trying To Be In Our Highest Vibration

shine your light Nov 11, 2021

Do you feel like you have to be perpetually in a good state or "vibration" to make a difference in the world?

Most recently I heard this idea in a video by someone I have a lot of respect for. They were sharing about how experiments have shown that our emotions have a vibrational frequency and how the more one person can dwell in higher frequency states like love and joy, the more it can counteract many people living in lower vibrational emotional states like fear and anger.

Sounds great, and it is something that I have definitely seen the importance of myself in my coaching practice.

I shared their video in my new program The Retreat today, and it sparked a little conversation where one person rightly pointed out how information like this can lead people to think that they somehow have to be perpetually positive.

I agree with them.  Taken to the extreme such an idea can create a vigilance within our minds to try and stay positive which ironically can in fact lower our energy.

In today's video I explore a subtle nuance that for me enables us to be in a "high vibration", and make a more positive difference in the world AND allow space for the normal fluctuations in our human experience.

I'm hoping to try and dispel the idea that you need to be "perfect" and never get in a low mood again in order to make a difference to others! :-)

As always, if you find the video useful or you get something from it please do consider sharing it.

Sending lots of love,
